Crowns and Bridges

Natural-looking restorations to renew the functionality and look of your teeth

Crowns and bridges are cosmetic dental treatments to restore functionality, boost strength and improve the appearance of damaged or missing teeth. Using advanced technology to create a perfect colour match, these solutions will naturally enhance your smile. Protect your cracked, decayed or worn-down teeth and replace your missing teeth with these long-lasting restorations.

What are crowns and bridges?

There are two types of crowns available. Full crowns are a completely new tooth attached to neighbouring teeth or by a dental implant. Partial crowns are “caps” that fit neatly over damaged teeth to restore their original condition.

We recommend the use of pure porcelain crowns as they offer many advantages over their more traditional porcelain fused metal (PFM) counterparts. Not only do these modern alternatives look more natural, but they also retain their colour with age. They also avoid the ugly grey area just above the gum that is commonly seen with traditional crowns.

Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. They are anchored on both sides by two crowns, creating a natural appearance and enclosing any large gaps. The neighbouring teeth will have to be modified to accommodate the new crowns.

How are crowns and bridges made?

Creating a crown or bridge is simple with today’s scientific advances. After making a detailed impression of your existing teeth, our dental restorations can be printed in a single day using our onsite CEREC technology. On completion, the crown or bridge will be permanently attached while avoiding the need for painful surgery. Custom-made using durable materials, our restorations allow you to talk and chew naturally without any invasive procedures.

If you have damaged or missing teeth and are interested in getting a new crown or bridge, call us to schedule an appointment today. We can offer advice on the different options available and find a treatment suitable to your needs.

Please note: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding with a surgical or invasive procedure, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
